The 2011 World Cup winners kicked off the tournament with 5-nil and 2-nil victories before a statement victory in a 4-nil clash with Spain. They are the highest-scoring team in the tournament thus far and are one of just three squads not to concede a goal yet; that is a problem for Norway.
Norway was able to break their winless streak with a win in the group stages, helping them advance to this point in the tournament, but they have shown me nothing so far that makes me think they are capable of winning this match. Japan has been clinical in finishing scoring opportunities, and they look so incredibly sound defensive. The counterattacks in the game with Spain were top-notch, and they just seemed to be a full step ahead of another really talented squad. Do not overthink this; take the squad with the momentum here.
