Sweden rides into this game 2-0 already in the tournament, with their spot in the knockout stages already guaranteed. All that is left to play for now is the top seed. Argentina head into the contest 0-1-1 in the tournament thus far and need a victory to move on to the knockout stage of the tournament.
Despite being winless thus far, Argentina has not played poorly. They lost 1-nil to Italy in the opening game of the tournament and were on the verge of being wiped out of the tournament in the second match against South Africa. Winning this match against powerhouse Sweden will take everything they have, and their fate still does not lie in their hands alone. With that said, beating Sweden is not going to be easy.
