After two straight wins, the Hurricanes now have all the momentum heading into Game 6. This series looked like it was over when the Rangers went up 3-0, but the Canes have since surged back. A win tonight would even the series up at 3-3… will Carolina keep their season alive with tonight?

NEW YORK RANGERS VS. CAROLINA HURRICANES GAME 6 PREDICTION
Oddsmakers are showing some serious respect to the Canes after their horrendous start to the series. They have the same odds they were at earlier in the series when they lost outright as heavy favorites at home in Game 3. With Igor Shesterkin out of the Garden tonight, the Canes have all the momentum now to fill the back of the net against the elite goalie once again.
Igor is known as one of the best goalies in the NHL. He’s had some of the best performances in recent playoff history over the years, but when he’s on the road, he’s beatable. With all the confidence Carolina has gained in the last two games of this series, I wouldn’t be surprised if they strike first tonight.
Everyone always talks about the Rangers home-ice advantage, but the Hurricanes have actually been the best home team in hockey this season. With their backs against the wall and no room for error, I like their chances to pull out the victory much like they did in the last two games. There’s a reason they are laying (-160) once again at home for tonight’s matchup…
Sebastian Aho and Carolina had the shortest odds to win the Stanley Cup prior to this series. I found that odd, considering the Rangers were the best team in the regular season and won the President’s Cup Trophy. Although the series didn’t start out the way many expected, let’s not forget the respect oddsmakers showed the Canes pre-series. With their backs against the wall in a must-win game, give me the Canes on the moneyline tonight to even up the series.
