Back for Game 5 of the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals as the New York Rangers host the Florida Panthers at Madison Square Garden for a pivotal game in this series. Florida took Game 4 after the third straight game in the series went to overtime and now both teams are fighting for a crucial 3-2 lead in the series.

Six more wins. I am riding with the Cats until the wheels fall off or the hoist Lord Stanley over their heads at this point. I have been on them to win this thing since late February, they are the only future I took and I have to say I am very pleased with the read at this point.
The incredible depth this team possesses has been a factor throughout the entirety of the season and Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sergei Bobrovsky has been spectacular between the pipes and doing everything you could have ever asked him too. Their only issue is the whole "when an unstoppable force meets and immovable object" thing.
That object would be Igor Shesterkin. The Rags net minder has been absolutely fantastic and while New York is talented up front, there is absolutely zero chance they are where they are without him. The Rags have relied heavily on the power play for production in the postseason and have been grossly outshot in this series, if not for Igor it may be 3-1 right now, if not worse (three straight games to overtime thanks to Igor.)
New York will not lay down now that the series is tied and they still have the ultimate weapon with Shesterkin between the pipes but now that the Cats have evened up the series, I think they are right where they need to be to win this thing. It might take seven games but that means they have to win at least one in MSG, why not tonight with the momentum?
