Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars Prediction: Can Nathan MacKinnon, Avs Save Season in Game 5?

Only one game on the ice tonight, and we are heading back down south for it. The Colorado Avalanche are heading to the American Airlines Center to clash with the Dallas Stars in a must-win game for the 2022 Stanley Cup Champions to keep their season alive. Dallas took a commanding 3-1 lead on Monday night, and Colorado really struggled offensively without Valeri Nichushkin, but they will need to find a way to get their other guys going.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars Prediction

As I said in my earlier article I am traveling today, so I’m going to keep this short, I just don’t see how this game does not see goals. This game goes one of two ways, Colorado wins a high scoring affair like they have won every single playoff game so far this season or Dallas is leading late and Colorado pulls Georgy to open up the prospect of empty net goals.

I know Valeri Nichushkin was on fire to start the playoffs and a big contributor to what the Avalanche have done offensively, but he is not the whole team. They still have a handful of other guys that I would consider star players that they need to lean on right now.

Colorado scored 35 goals in their first seven playoff games and have two in their last two, you've got to think they'll figure something out tonight or go down hard. Three of the four games in the series have seen six-plus goals.
