Genesis Invitational Expert Picks and Prop Bets: Top 20 Picks

Rickie Fowler comfortably secured the top 20 bet at +250 last week after finishing T10th at the Phoenix Open. Nothing back from the other two selections as Higgo missed the cut on the number. I also managed to curse Taylor Montgomery into his first miss cut of the season. Moving onto the Genesis Invitational, where we get to enjoy the wonderful Riviera CC. It always provides a tough test for the players and they'll need every part of their game to be firing to have any success here. Given its quirky and challenging layout, it definitely helps to have a bit of experience playing the course.

As always this event attracts the top players, even more so this year given its elevated status. We're even being blessed with an appearance from the one and only, Tiger Woods. I won't be betting or writing up any props related to Tiger this week; I'm just excited to see him back out there. It's tough to know what to expect, making the cut would be a massive achievement for him at this stage but either way it's great to have Tiger back! I'm sticking with the top 20 market for this event, below I've identified three players that stand out as good value.

Keegan Bradley Top 20 (+225) Bet $100 to collect $325 BetRivers has the best odds, click here to bet

Keegan Bradley is looking back to his best of late. He's up to 21st in the world rankings, playing consistently well and picking up some great results. He won for the first time in four years recently at the ZOZO championship in Japan and has continued to play well since then. Runners up at the Farmers Insurance Open and T20th last week at the Phoenix Open, his game looks in great shape. Keegan has gained on every SG metric in those events, particularly excelling with his irons. It's the kind of all-around game you need to succeed at Riviera CC. Keegan hasn't shown up here in recent years but he hasn't been in the best of form coming into those events.

He does have some previous at Riviera earlier on his career, losing to Bill Haas in a playoff on just his second visit in 2012. Three years later another fourth-place finish. As a lot of players have done in the past in interviews, Keegan has openly stated how special of a place Riviera CC is to him. I'm sure he's relishing the visit this year, given that he's back playing well and full of confidence. He's also very comfortable putting on POA Annua greens as we saw recently at Torrey Pines, where he ranked out first in the field in SG putting. A lot to like about Keegan this week; I struggle to see him finishing outside the top 20.

Wyndham Clark Top 20 (+300) Bet $100 to collect $400 DraftKings has the best odds, click here to bet

Wyndham Clark has been playing consistently well for some time now. He has made eight consecutive cuts finishing inside the top 20 on four occasions. Wyndham has always been one of the longest hitters on tour and without a doubt, it's his biggest weapon. However, he's started to improve in other areas this season, notably his irons. Finishing inside the top 15 on approach in his last two starts. This is an area of his game that he has struggled with in recent years, so to see him hitting his irons so well is very encouraging.

He also possesses an excellent touch around the greens which is needed here, with so many players missing the greens. Wyndham has played at Riviera twice before, finishing 17th on debut and eighth the following year. It's a course that clearly suits his eye and having grown up on POA Annua greens, it's surface he's comfortable putting on. I was extremely tempted to back him in the outright market but given the field strength and elevated status, I've opted for the top 20 market instead.

Patrick Rodgers Top 20 (+400) Bet $100 to collect $500 Caesars has the best odds, click here to bet

Patrick Rodgers closed with a round of 65 last week at the Phoenix Open to finish T14th. It was the fifth time he has finished inside the top 20 in his last eight starts. Having gone to college in California, Rodgers has always felt a level of comfort when returning to compete there which is reflected in his results. He has two sixth-place finishes at Silverado, fourth and ninth at Torrey Pines, and an eighth at Pebble Beach.

More importantly, his record at Riviera is also decent, from eight starts he has missed the cut just twice. When he does make the cut, he hasn't finished worse than 30th, with his best finish of 12th coming a couple of years ago. Rodgers now arrives at Riviera in much better form than he has done in recent years, gaining strokes in every department at the Phoenix Open. I believe he has an excellent chance of finishing inside the top 20 this week.
