Other than Walter Hagen who won his last major in 1929, only Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus have won more than ten major tournaments. Nicklaus won his eighteen majors (six Masters) across a twenty-five-year time span from 62-86. Tiger Woods currently has fifteen (five Masters) although I feel that is a false representation.

Starting with the Masters in 62 Nicklaus did not miss a major tournament across the twenty-five years (97 tournaments) time span he won his eighteen. Tiger is in his twenty-fifth year technically but has missed seventeen tournaments. He missed two in 08’, 11’, and 14’; he missed the entirety of the 2016-2017 seasons and then five more between 2020-2021 due to covid and his accident. From his first major win to last -the same split I just spoke about with Nicklaus- he won his fifteen across just 75 tournaments.
He has played at Augusta for the jacket twenty-two times and missed the cut one time; it was his second time at the course and he was still very much an amateur In just his fifth career major appearance.
He is currently listed to make the cut anywhere between +100 to -110.

He has not missed the cut since 1996 and has placed within the top ten or higher fourteen times, more than half. He has placed within the top five twelve times; the top three eight and has won five.

We are not even talking about him winning (although I am on him too) we are talking about him simply making the cut. I understand he has not been playing and is coming off a very serious injury but this is Tiger Woods at the Masters guys. Tiger knows this course like he knows the back of his hand; the way it plays, the weather, the environment, and the crowds, it is all second nature for the king.
Tiger Woods is one of the greatest athletes and professional golfers in the history of the sport and the man is a cold-blooded killer. When asked if he could win this tournament the other day he kept his response short and confident.

I believe so as well and I am putting my money where my mouth is. Yes, I am aware it would be ludicrous for him to win this out of form but if anyone can do it, it’s Tiger. Some are saying he won’t even make it through the end of the day Friday and are caught up on all the things that say he won’t win it.
I am focused on what says he will. If he can walk the 72 holes I think he can win it and love the odds we are getting but more importantly, he has to make the cut first and that is our main play here. He may not ever have a chance at winning this one but if he is playing well tomorrow morning and is healthy, I find it very hard to believe he is not still playing on Saturday.
