England vs. Spain Picks, Odds, Lineups For the 2023 Women's World Cup Finals

England vs. Spain Start Time, Where to Watch, and Odds

  • Date: Sunday, August 20, 2023
  • Start Time: 6:00 am ET
  • Where to Watch: FOX

England is one win away from earning its first Women's World Cup Championship. But it's not going to be easy against Spain.

Spain has scored the most goals than anyone else in the tournament. They've also won all but one of their six matches in the World Cup.

However, England has conceded the least amount of goals among the four teams that made the semifinals.

Can England hold Spain from scoring rapidly in the World Cup Final?

Let's see what the sportsbooks think.

England vs. Spain Odds and Betting Data

ResultOddsImplied Chance
Spain Win+16537.74%
Draw+19034.48%
England Win+18535.09%

This market is for the 90-minute regulation period. If you select England to win at +185, but they win in extra time, you'd lose your bet.

However, you can bet England to win the World Cup, with extra time included.

England is sitting at -110 to win the World Cup, with Spain slightly juiced at -115 to win the World Cup.

You can also bet Spain or England to win in regulation via "Draw No Bet." Therefore, if England tied at the end of regulation, you'd void and get your money back.

Sportsbooks believe this match will be incredibly close and could go either way.

England vs. Spain Prediction

In its semifinal matchup on Tuesday, Spain escaped Sweden 2-1. The scoring in that game didn't begin until the 81st minute when Salma Paralluelo broke the ice and scored.

Sweden came right back in the 88th minute to tie the game at 1. But a minute later, Spain found the net with Olga Carmona.

A game that looked to be headed for overtime, 0-0, finished with a 2-1 win for Spain.

Thanks to its resilience, Spain has reached its first-ever Women's World Cup Final. On the other hand, England defeated the hosts, Australia, in its semifinal match. England added an early goal from Ella Toone but conceded a goal in the 63rd minute to Australia.

The match was tied until Laren Hemp found the back of the net in the 71st minute. Eventually, England added an insurance goal in the 86th minute from Alessia Russo.

There was more scoring in the semifinals than most games had throughout the tournament. But don't expect that to be the case in the Final.

England and Spain have both been dominant defensively. Neither team will break down much. Take the Under 2.5 in regulation at -185.

  • England vs. Spain Pick: Under 2.5 (-185)

England vs. Spain Projected Lineups

England projected starting lineup 3-4-1-2 ( from right to left ): Earps (GK) - Carter, Bright, Greenwood - Bronze, Stanway, Walsh, Daly - Toone - Russo, Hemp.

Spain projected starting lineup 4-3-3( from right to left ): (GK) - Coll (GK) - Batlle, Paredes, Codina, Carmona - Bonmati, Abelleira, Putellas - Redondo, Hermoso, Caldentey.

England vs. Spain World Cup Odds

It's been an action-packed Women's World Cup. But only two teams are standing.

The winner of Spain-England will win the World Cup. Spain and England are both -110 to win the World Cup via the futures tab. However, Spain has a higher probability of winning this match in regulation.

Therefore, if you can find Spain at -110 or better odds to win the World Cup, that's probably your best bet. Sportsbooks are siding with Spain just a little bit more.
