England vs. Colombia Picks, Odds, Lineups For the 2023 Women's World Cup Quarterfinals

England vs. Colombia Start Time, Where to Watch, and Odds

  • Date: Saturday, August 12, 2023
  • Start Time: 6:30 am ET
  • Where to Watch: FOX

It hasn't been the easiest of roads for the England National Team. But they've done enough to earn a quarterfinals spot after a shootout win against Nigeria in the Round of 16. England didn't score a goal in that game.

As a matter of fact, England has scored one or fewer goals in three of four games in the World Cup.

They'll take on Colombia in the quarterfinals. Colombia defeated South Korea, upset Germany but lost to Morocco in the group stage. However, in Round 16, Colombia escaped Jamaica 1-0. Colombia is now a top-eight team in the World Cup.

All of Colombia's games have been low-scoring. Meanwhile, England has had just one game where they score more than one goal.

And as a reminder, Lauren James got a red card in the 87th minute against Nigeria. Therefore, one of England's best players will be unavailable for this one.

Does that mean the Under is the play?

England vs. Colombia Odds and Betting Data

ResultOddsImplied Chance
England Win-20567.21%
Draw+27526.67%
Colombia Win+60014.29%

England has a 67.21 chance of defeating Colombia in regulation. Meanwhile, the probability of a draw is 26.67%. That's better odds than Colombia's chance at winning, which is only 14.29%.

If you're betting on this market, understand that this is for the first 90 minutes and does not include overtime.

England to advance, including overtime. Those odds sit at -425 and are +300 for Colombia.

If you want to bet the moneyline without overtime and a draw, you can find England at -700. If the game goes into overtime, you'd get your money back as a push.

England vs. Colombia Prediction

England hasn't dominated in the goals column. But they're playing well with one another. They've added 71 sequences with at least ten or more passes. No other team in the nation has that many sequences.

This has allowed England to control possession and limit damage on the other end. They've played in so many close games, but England continues to sneak by, thanks to terrific defensive effort.

Meanwhile, Colombia only has seven sequences of 10 or more passes. It's clear England will dominate the time of possession.

England defeated Colombia back in 2015, 2-1. In that game, England also won the time of possession and had more shots on goal, along with more shots in total.

Give me England at -205 in regulation.

England vs. Colombia Projected Lineups

England projected starting lineup 3-4-1-2 ( from right to left ): Earps (GK) - Carter, Bright, Greenwood - Bronze, Stanway, Walsh, Daly - Zelem - Russo, Hemp.

Colombia projected starting lineup 4-2-3-1 ( from right to left ): (GK) - Perez - Arias, Carabali, Arias, Guzman - Ospina Garcia, Bedoya Durango - Ramirez, Santos, Caicedo - Usme.

England vs. Colombia World Cup Odds

With the United States eliminated from the tournament and a couple of other significant teams, England is now the favorite to win the World Cup.

England has never won the World Cup, but at +275, they've got the highest probability.

So far, England has escaped tough competition. They've been heavy favorites in their matchups and have just sneaked on by.

But ultimately, there's a very high probability that England reaches the semifinals with a win over Colombia.
