San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction

All season long, the 49ers were viewed as one of the Super Bowl favorites.

San Franscico earned the number one seed in the NFC with a 12-5 record.

The 9ers have not lost a game with their starters playing since Christmas night against the Ravens.

Quarterback Brock Purdy's story is as unique as anyone in football. Purdy who was picked last in the 2021 draft has went from Mr. Irrelevant to a franchise quarterback.

Purdy threw for 4,280 yards 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions during the regular season.

Christian McCaffrey won NFL offensive player of the year. CMC rushed for 1,459 yards and fourteen touchdowns while racking up 564 yards and seven touchdowns in the passing game.

Brandon Ayiuk led the 49ers in receiving yards with 1,342.

Deebo Samuel was tied for the team lead with seven receiving touchdowns while collecting 892 yards along the way.

The 49ers had one of the best defensive units in football during the regular season allowing opponents 18.4 ppg which ranked third in football.

Patrick Mahomes has his sights set on his third ring.

The Chiefs finished in third place in the AFC which for their standards was underwhelming.

A lot of people questioned if this Chiefs team had lost a step entering the post season.

The short answer is no they have not.

Kansas City’s offense looks as good as it has all season.

Mahomes turned in another strong season throwing for 4,183 yards 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Running back Isiah Pacheco has enjoyed the best year of his career dashing for 935 yards and seven touchdowns.

Tight end Travis Kelce did not reach 1,000 yards for the first time since 2015 but he has been dominant in the playoffs racking up 262 yards and three touchdowns.

Rookie Rashee Rice enjoyed a strong season collecting 79 catches worth 938 yards.

The Chiefs defense ranked second in points allowed per game (16.8).

San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Pick

I will follow the line and trust the 49ers to be crowned champions.

The public loves Kansas City yet we have seen the line move in the favor of San Francisco over the past week.

While I hate to fade Mahomes I trust that the 49ers will have a strong game plan and limit his production this game.

Kansas City struggled vs the run this season raking 17th in yards allowed per game.

The 9ers will use a heavy dose of McCaffrey and Samuel in this game on the ground which will open things up in the passing game.
