This game is unlikely to be pretty on either side. Both offenses have had their problems this season. The Eagles have struggled with injuries and now face a Giants defense that has been playing teams extremely tough. The key for the Giants has been their ability to stifle the run and force teams to pass more. When defenses can do that, it forces teams into higher risk plays and can lead to offensive drives stalling. If the Giants defense can have another strong day, they will give their offense every chance.

The Giants offense has been infuriating all season. Daniel Jones does superb things with his arms and legs, only to then do something that baffles the mind. Whether that is overthrowing open receivers, or throwing unnecessary passes that are intercepted, it has been a mixed year. However, against the Washington Football Team, under at times heavy pressure, Jones demonstrated composure and finally started to put things together.

Counting against Jones is that he is 5-16 in his career, with four of those wins coming against Washington. Meanwhile, he is 1-16 against the rest of the NFL, which is a number he will likely be aware of and desperate to fix. The Giants should have beaten the Eagles on Monday Night Football a couple of weeks ago, and now at home, they will have the chance to put it right.

In terms of other bets, my lean will be to the under on the totals, both overall and team. However, the numbers are suitably low where I do not feel comfortable making it a play. My feeling if I want some more action on this game is to tease the spread to the Giants +9 and then either take the total up to 48 and take the under, or go down to 36 and take the over.
