Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat stole Game 1 of this series. Can the Celtics even it up tonight? Gray Gutfreund shares two props to target for tonight's Heat vs. Celtics Game 2.
ANALYSIS

NBA Playoffs Props Tonight: 2 Props to Target for Celtics vs. Heat Game 2 (5/19)

Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat walked into the TD Garden and stole Game 1 on Wednesday night. Miami turned in a truly masterful performance, shooting the ball incredibly well and getting major contributions from several role players.

Two days later, the Celtics enter Game 2 as 9-point favorites. And we'll target some of Miami's role players for tonight's 8:30 PM ET tip-off.

Let's jump into today's picks!

NBA Props Tonight - Friday, May 19

Caleb Martin Over 8.5 Points -125 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Caleb Martin was instrumental in Miami's Game 1 victory. He played 30 minutes off the bench for the Heat, pouring in 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting (3/7 from three). I'm not only a huge fan of his points prop tonight, but I would also take Over 13.5 Points + Rebounds for the Miami wing.

Martin's contributions have been key this postseason, as he's averaged 11.2 PPG and spaced the floor with his 39.2% shooting from downtown. He's reached this over in 9 of 12 games so far, with one of his rare misses coming in an 8-point performance against the New York Knicks last week.

The Nevada product should be locked into at least 26-28 minutes yet again this evening, as his defense on Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown is massive for the Heat. He has played 20+ minutes in six games against Boston over the last two seasons. And he's scored in double figures in five of them, averaging 10.8 PPG.

This is a matchup where Caleb can fly under the radar, avoiding tight coverage from Celtics defenders on open threes. Between open jumpers and his incredible finishing in transition, I like his chances of scoring in double figures again tonight.

Kyle Lowry 3+ Assists + Al Horford 2+ Assists -145 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

This same-game parlay cashed in the third quarter in Game 1, and I'm banking on these two vets to show up again tonight. Plus, if you're unable to take this, I would happily drink the juice on Kyle Lowry Over 3.5 Assists as an alternative.

Lowry has dished out at least three assists in 21 of his 23 games off the bench this season, averaging 4.4 assists per game since returning from injury. He has at least four assists in seven of his last nine games and has played his best basketball of the entire season during Miami's playoff run. Overall, this same-game parlay has cashed in three of four meetings between Lowry and Al Horford, as they've each found success as playmakers in this matchup.

Big Al has recorded 2+ assists in 13 of his 14 games this postseason, and an increase in playing time has gone a long way in ensuring a safe floor for him statistically. He's hit this mark in 42 of 48 games when seeing at least 30 minutes, averaging 3.1 APG in these games. Lowry, on the other hand, has a 58/67 hit rate at the three-assist mark for the season, so I'm trusting both of these guys to get the job done in Game 2.
