NBA Playoffs Props Tonight: Player Props to Target for Warriors vs. Lakers Game 6 (5/12)

All eyes are on Los Angeles tonight, as the Lakers host the Golden State Warriors with a chance to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

The Warriors have struggled on the road all season long, and they enter tonight's contest as 3-point underdogs. They haven't stolen a road game yet in this series, and they'll need a monster game from Stephen Curry to take Game 6 tonight.

Let's jump into today's picks!

NBA Playoffs Props - Friday, May 12

Stephen Curry Over 6.5 Assists (-130) Click here to find out which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Stephen Curry has blown past this line in two consecutive games. In Game 5, he finished with 8 assists on 12 potential assists. And, in Game 4, Curry posted an eye-popping 14 assists on 19 potential assists.

The Lakers are determined to sell out on stopping Golden State's pick-and-roll actions when Steph is handling the ball. Plenty of commotion has been made about head coach Steve Kerr going away from this action for parts of the last few games, even though it's been unstoppable. But, I'd expect Golden State to continue to feature Steph in even more of a primary ball-handling role than we've seen for most of the season.

Curry has succeeded as a playmaker in this matchup this season and in the past. He's averaged 8.0 APG through the first five games of the series. And, he's hit this over in 6 of 8 games when seeing more than 32 minutes of action against the Lakers since 2021. The two-time MVP averaged 7.3 assists per 40 minutes this season and should see that type of run in what is likely to be a close game this evening.

The Lakers won't leave the screener's defender in drop coverage on Steph at any point tonight. Whether they're blitzing, hedging, or doubling number 30 when he's handling the ball remains to be seen. But, he should be able to get the ball to shooters and cutters in positions to score all night.
