NBA Playoffs Props for Today: 2 Props to Target on Monday (4/17)

Every NBA playoff series is now one game deep. We have two games tonight on TNT, and we’re bringing you one play from each contest.

Tonight’s action begins in Philadelphia, as the 76ers look to take a 2-0 lead on the Brooklyn Nets. Then, the main event: The Golden State Warriors aim to even up the series at 1-1 in Sacramento.

Let's jump into today's picks!

NBA Props Tonight - Monday, April 17

Spencer Dinwiddie Under 8.5 Assists (-120) (Bet $120 to Collect $220) Get these odds at DraftKings now

Spencer Dinwiddie was a mess on Saturday afternoon. Dinwiddie’s Twitter nemesis, Kyle Kuzma, was surely smiling somewhere when he shot 5-for-12 with 4 turnovers in the Nets’ loss.

Brooklyn’s starting point guard finished with just 7 assists on 11 potential assists. And, he had several ugly turnovers; he was credited with 4 in the box score, yet it felt like even more, as he missed Nic a Claxton on multiple lobs.

Game 1 marked the slowest-paced game of all eight postseason matchups that took place this weekend. With a Pace of just 89.3 on Saturday, it was clear Philadelphia controlled the tempo from start to finish. With fewer possessions to work with, Dinwiddie will be left with fewer opportunities for assists. He’s finished with 6 and 7 assists in two games vs. Philly as a member of the Nets this season, and tonight could mark his third straight game hitting this under.

Malik Monk + Draymond Green Same-Game Parlay (-115) (Bet $115 to Collect $215) Get these odds at DraftKings now

  • Leg 1: Malik Monk 12+ Points
  • Leg 2: Malik Monk 2+ Assists
  • Leg 3: Draymond Green 5+ Assists
  • Leg 4: Draymond Green 5+ Rebounds

Both Malik Monk and Draymond Green showed up in a significant way on Saturday night. Sacramento’s win over the Warriors was the polar opposite of the Philadelphia/Brooklyn game, as these teams had the fastest-paced matchup of any series opener this weekend. In what’s sure to be another fast-paced game tonight, Monk and Green should serve crucial roles yet again.

Monk was magnificent in Game 1, finishing with 32 points and 2 assists in 29 minutes of action. He was too good for Mike Brown not to grant him a similar role tonight, which bodes well for our parlay. He’s finished with at least 12 points and 2 assists in 38 of 44 games when seeing at least 22 minutes off the bench this season (including all four against Golden State). He’s averaged 17.8 PPG and 4.4 APG in these games and should be tasked with generating more offense for the Kings tonight.

Draymond logged 33.5 minutes of action in Game 1, finishing with 11 assists and 9 boards. He’s now totaled 5+ assists and 5+ rebounds in 35 of his 42 games (83.3%) when playing at least 32 minutes this season. He’s cashed both of these legs in 4 consecutive games against the Kings. And, he got the job done in 17 of his 22 postseason games last year. Thanks to his stellar defense on Domantas Sabonis and his massive playmaking role in the Warriors’ offense, he should remain locked into a huge role tonight.
