NBA Props for Today: 2 Props to Target on Sunday (4/9)

The final day of the 2022-23 NBA regular season has arrived. With all 30 teams playing today, many games are cluttered with teams that don't have much to play for. But, playoff seeding is on the line for some teams, with the New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves taking center stage.

Let's jump into today's picks!

Sunday, April 9 NBA Props

Trey Murphy Over 17.5 Points (-111) (Bet $111 to collect $211) Get these odds at FanDuel

Trey Murphy has stepped up big for the New Orleans Pelicans in the absence of Zion Williamson. And the Pels will need him today in order to secure an advantageous playoff spot. The matchup between New Orleans and Minnesota is the only one of the league's 15 games today that features two teams incentivized to win, so expect big minutes for Murphy in this contest.

Murphy has scored at least 15 points in 16 of his last 18 games. He's averaged 20.4 points in 36.7 minutes per game during this stretch, on efficient 51-45-90% shooting splits. Murphy has upped his scoring to 22.6 PPG over his last 8 games, including three 30-plus point performances.

Trey should see around 40 minutes of action today, which bodes well for the over. He's logged at least 35 minutes in 26 games this season, averaging 19.7 PPG. Coming off of 30 points and 31 points in his last two games, look for another big game from Trey today.

New York Knicks Team Total Over 119.5 Points (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210) Get these odds at FanDuel

The Knicks aren't playing for much today, but this should be a fast-paced game against an Indiana Pacers team that has been terrible defensively lately. They've allowed at least 120 points in 6 of their last 8 games, good for an average of 128.9 points allowed per game.

With Myles Turner, Tyrese Haliburton, and other key players likely sitting again for Indiana today, their defense will continue to be undermanned. They've conceded 122.8 PPG in 19 games that Turner has missed, including 119 points and 138 points in two games vs. New York.

The Knicks have played 14 games against bottom-10 defenses since January 1st. They've scored 115+ points in 12 of these 14 games, averaging 120.7 PPG. Indiana ranks 5th in Pace and 25th in defensive rating, which will offer a great matchup for the Knicks, regardless of who plays.
