Mondays are easily in the top ten days to bet. Sure they have a few things going against them, but they also have a few things going for them. Think about this; by the time the NBA games roll around tonight, Monday will pretty much be done. That's pretty sweet. Plus, if you're still on a heater from the week before which we are (not bragging), then the Monday board can look like a buffet. Who doesn't like a nice, clean buffet?

But the thing I like most about Mondays is the fact that they allow you to take a shot downfield. If you miss, you still have the rest of the week to get yourself together. Luckily for us, I found the perfect way to see what's what on the high plus side of things. It's not even that crazy either.

Isaiah Stewart Over 1.5 Assists (+170) (Bet $100 to Win $170)

This one is at DraftKings but if you want, BetMGM has it at +165. I know not everyone can play at DraftKings so if you're a BetMGM person, you're good. If you're a FanDuel or Barstool person, you're in a bit of trouble. Neither book has a line yet but the good news is it's still early so maybe they'll do the right thing and post something. Is this smart? Maybe, maybe not. There's really only one way to find out. All I know for sure is taking an Isaiah Stewart assist prop is the definition of gambling so there's that. We're gamblers so we should be gambling. Feels right.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I didn't get fixated on the +170 when I took this bet. I did. It looked awesome so I hit submit. Still, there is a reason to think Stewart can get home on this number. It's two for God's sake. That's only one more than one (math).

A lot of people don't know this but Stewart's first action as a pro was against the Hawks. He only played 14 minutes that night but he still found time to dish out two assists. That's a great start. Now if you fast forward to this season, you'll notice that Beef Stew played the Hawks once back in October and dished out five dimes that game (career-high, nbd).

What is it about the Hawks that turns Isaiah Stewart into John Stockton? Who knows? The only thing we know for sure is it might have something to do with the center position in general. On the season, only two teams in the NBA allow more assists per game to centers than Atlanta. It's not by much either. In fact, over the last three games, only one team in the entire NBA has allowed a higher percentage of opponent assists per made field goals than the Hawks. Everybody is dropping dimes.

At the end of the day, the Pistons are playing good ball right now. They're not getting waxed every night so their starters are playing normal minutes. Beef Stew might see close to 30 tonight. He should be able to pass out a couple of assists in that time. I believe in him.
