Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Friday

We've got a full 15-game slate in the MLB tonight!

Tonight's slate features a ton of really impressive starters who have solid matchups in their series openers. Let's wager on them!

May 3 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Ronel Blanco Over 6.5 Ks (+100) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Ronel Blanco will get the start for the Astros tonight. He's pitching against a Mariners projected lineup that has struck out 27.4% of the time against righties since last season.

Only Josh Rojas and Ty France have minimized strikeouts. The remaining Mariners' lineup has struck out at least 24.6%. Six of the nine batters have struck out at least 28.2% of the time against righties.

Meanwhile, Ronel Blanco has struck out 23.4% of batters this season. He's also added a .063 ISO and wOBA of .216 to his first 128 batters.

Not only should Blanco throw many strikeouts, but he also figures to get through the Mariners' lineup easily. Seattle only has a wOBA of .320 with 8.5% of walks against righties since last season.

Let's back Blanco to add at least seven strikeouts at +100.

Tanner Houck Over 5.5 Ks (-125) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Boston's Tanner Houck has struck out 26.5% of batters to begin the season. He's also held teams to a 3.2% walk rate, a .054 ISO rate, and a wOBA of .234 with 55.7% of ground balls induced.

Houck has been terrific.

That said, he's taking on a Twins lineup that has plenty of power and a high wOBA. But the lineup has also struck out 24.2% of the time against righties since last season.

Minnesota has six batters striking out at least 23.2% of the time against righties in that time frame.

With six targets and a high strikeout rate from Houck, we'll back his Over.

JP Sears Under 4.5 Ks (+110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

As a left-handed pitcher, JP Sears has struck out only 17.6% of batters this season for the Athletics. He's also managed just 13.1% of strikeouts against righties.

He's in line to face a Marlins lineup that should have seven righties. Plus, one of the two lefties would be Luis Arraez, who has struck out just 12.5% of the time against lefties anyway.

The Marlins, as a projected lineup, have struck out just 18.3% of the time against lefties since last season. The lineup's righties have also combined for just 17.7% of strikeouts against lefties.

Sears has struggled badly against righties this season. While he might not give up ridiculous power to this lowly Marlins lineup, Miami should still put the ball in play and limit Sears from adding a bunch of strikeouts.
