Tiger Woods 2024 US Open Odds, Betting Preview and Predictions

Golf's most famous player, Tiger Woods, continues to show up for majors in 2024. The aging super star may be 48 years old now, but he continues to compete despite his physical limitations.

Woods has won the U.S. Open three times in his highly-decorated career on the PGA Tour, while recording a T3 and solo runner-up finish at Pinehurst No. 2. Now, after extensive rest and reportedly shooting a 29 on the front-nine earlier this week, Woods' finishing position betting markets are open to wager at extremely long odds.

PGA handicapper Matt MacKay is back to analyze the latest betting odds for Tiger Woods in several finishing position markets heading into Round 1 of the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

TIGER WOODS US OPEN ODDS: WINNER +40000 (Bet $100 to collect $40100)

Oddsmakers are only giving Woods a 0.25 percent chance to contend for the outright win at Pinehurst No. 2 this week. Even during the height of his career, he never recorded a win at a U.S. Open held at this par 70 course.

It's tempting to throw a couple of bucks on Woods at 400-1 odds in the outright winner market, but we've seen him deal with back and lower body ailments too much recently to justify this investment.

Woods made the cut at Augusta National earlier this year, extending his streak at The Masters, so that's a better market to target rather than biting on the 400-1 outright winner odds. He's +210 to make the cut at Pinehurst No. 2, available on FanDuel Sportsbook.

TIGER WOODS US OPEN ODDS: TOP 5 FINISH +5000 (Bet $100 to collect $5100)

There isn't much movement in a top five finish for Woods either, sitting at 50-1 in the top five finishing position market.

He's recorded a pair of top-five finishes in previous outings at Pinehurst No. 2 during the 1999 and 2005 U.S. Open events, but that happened two decades ago. We must take into account his current physical form, which couldn't even hold up when he made the cut at Augusta National in April.

If you want to sprinkle a few bucks on Woods for a top 5 finish, it makes more sense at 50-1 than a 400-1 outright winner ticket, but it's still not recommended.

TIGER WOODS US OPEN ODDS: TOP 10 FINISH +1800 (Bet $100 to collect $1900)

Finally, Woods' top ten finishing position odds remain long at 18-1. We haven't seen him record a top-ten finish at any event since the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2020.

Once again, his make the cut odds are available at +210, which is the best value to acquire on Woods at Pinehurst No. 2 this week. However, if you want to grab some action on golf's biggest star to exceed expectations at a course he's played well at in past appearances, a 0.05 unit investment at 18-1 for a top-ten finish still returns close to a unit of profit.
