It's been over a year since Max Homa won a tournament in the United States. But he's still one of the most notable golfers in the PGA and he still has all of the potential to escape with a major win at the US Open.
Recently, Homa has played during the weekend in nine of his last ten tournaments and has added three top-ten finishes over that time. However, I should note that he missed the cut at the US Open last year and has had an average score of 9-over in the last four trips to the US Open.
Still, let's not forget about his third-place finish at the Masters this year. Homa is playing very well, despite his poor performances at the US Open.

Homa is good at avoiding bogeys, which is why he's a better bet to finish inside the top ten than as the leader.

I think Homa has improved drastically since the last US Open apperance. But I'm still not ready to stomach betting on Homa over other golfers around this spot.
