DeadPresPicks' 2024 NFL Mock Draft - Top 10 for Thursday's First Round

1. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams QB (USC)

The draft will have some surprises, but this is a sure thing. Caleb Williams has been the top prospect in football over the last two years. The former USC standout won the Heisman Trophy award in 2023 and is one of the best prospects in the last decade.

2. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels QB (LSU)

Jayden Daniels has shot all the way up to -400 to be drafted second by the Commanders. Tightly connected people around the league believe Daniels will be a member of the Commanders. Daniels won the Heisman trophy a year ago.

3. New England Patriots: Drake Maye QB (North Carolina)

Drake Maye is either going number two or number three. The former UNC star brings a tons of skills to the table. Maye is -300 to be drafted third.

4. New York Giants (Trade) Marvin Harrison JR WR (Ohio State)

There is no player more NFL-ready than Marvin Harrison Jr. The son of an NFL Hall of Famer, Harrison, is projected to be one of the best receivers we have seen in the last few years. New York lacks playmaking and needs a player with Harrison Jr.'s skill set.

5. Los Angles Chargers: Malik Nabers WR (LSU)

The Chargers need a wide receiver after moving on from Keenan Allen and Mike Williams in the offseason. Herbert will get a new weapon in Malik Nabers on Thursday night. Nabers is +260 to be drafted fifth.

6. Arizona Cardinals: Rome Odunze WR (Washington)

As you can see, this is a strong wide receiver class. The Cardinals need help at the wide receiver position, and Rome Odunze has tons of upside. He is +250 to be selected sixth.

7. Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt OT (Notre Dame)

Joe Alt is the first offensive lineman projected to be drafted. Alt is a great selection at number seven for the Titans. He is -165 to be drafted seventh.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Laiatu Latu DE (UCLA)

Laiatu Latu is projected to be one of the first defensive players off the board. Latu earned All-American honors a year ago while winning the Ted Hendricks Award. The Falcons love Latu and his upside. Latu is +170 to be drafted eighth.

9. Chicago Bears: Dallas Turner EDGE (Alabama)

You could argue that Dallas Turner should go number eight, but he will slip to number nine. Turner is absolutely the best defensive player on the board. Chicago will add Williams and Turner on Thursday night. Tuner is +750 to go number nine.

10. New York Jets: Brock Bowers, Tight End (Georgia)

This pick is a no-brainer. Brock Bowers is the best tight end in the class. He is +160 to be selected with the tenth overall pick.
