That said, there's been plenty of rumors surrounding Drake Maye and where he'll end up. Maye threw for 3,608 yards, 24 touchdowns, and nine interceptions with a QBR of 79.3 as a sophomore. However, he also rushed for 449 yards and another nine touchdowns.
While his stats might not compare well to other quarterbacks in the draft, Maye is one of the younger quarterbacks in the draft.

Although Jayden Daniels still has a higher probability of being selected, we've seen a lot of line movement with Maye's odds rising for the second overall selection.
On Thursday, Daniels was a -400 favorite. Now, he's only sitting at -150. The dramatic shift means sportsbooks believe it's more likely now that the Commanders will draft Maye over Daniels with the second pick.
You could've got Maye at +220 earlier on Thursday. But now his best odds are at +155.
That said, the Commanders have done a great job keeping this No. 2 pick a mystery. Earlier in the process, some thought Maye was slipping down the draft. Now, all of that talk looks more like a smoke screen.

It's thought that the Patriots will select whoever the Commanders don't. If Washington selects Jayden Daniels, the consensus is that Maye will end up with New England.
If the Commanders decide on Drake Maye, the Patriots are expected to land Jayden Daniels.
However, J.J. McCarthy is sitting at +400 to be the third overall pick. We don't know where the Patriots are in their draft process, either. But J.J. McCarthy went to Michigan and won a National Title. That's got to appeal to the Patriots, who saw their franchise rise with Tom Brady, who also played in college ball at Michigan.
I'd still say Maye will likely be drafted with either the second or third overall selection in this year's NFL Draft.
