Super Bowl Coin Toss Odds: Bettor Places $100,000 Bet on Tails at Caesars

Everyone's favorite betting event of the year is just over a week away as we prepare for Super Bowl LVIII. Bringing even more of an eye to the betting world is that the Super Bowl is taking place in the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada. Needless to say, we've seen a ton of action on Super Bowl odds already.

One of the most popular Super Bowl bets every year comes on the coin toss. To roll out the red carpet for bettors, sportsbooks around the globe allow bettors to bet on the coin toss result for the Super Bowl, and this year is no different.

According to Las Vegas Review-Journal's Todd Dewey, we've already seen a MASSIVE bet on the Super Bowl coin toss. Dewey is reporting that a bettor at Caesars has placed a $100,000 wager on the coin toss coming up tails on Super Bowl Sunday.

On top of that, Caesars has also taken a $200,000 wager on Brock Purdy to win Super Bowl MVP, but at least that wager has some skill behind it. Either way, we know at least one bettor is going to be very happy or very by the time we see the opening kick off in Las Vegas.

So, we know that someone placed a $100,000 bet at Caesars on the Super Bowl coin toss odds. We don't know exactly what odds they got, but we do know what some of the other online sportsbooks are offering when it comes to the coin toss.

Right now, the best odds you can get on either heads or tails is at FanDuel. FanDuel has both sides of the coin currently priced at -104, implying a 51% chance. Sure, it's really a 50% chance for both, which would imply the odds should be +100 on each side, but the books aren't going to give you those.

At DraftKings, both results are priced at -110, so they're charging even more of a premium for the bet, but still a decent price if you only have DK.
