5. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem (2022)

Every single one of these artists is a music icon. It felt like a throwback concert and it did not disappoint. All of the performances were electric with amazing energy and all-around good vibes.

Eminem's performance of "Slim Shady" was superb and so was Kendric Lamar's "Alright." Between hip-hop, rap, and R&B, this Super Bowl halftime show was filled with something for everyone. The 2022 Super Bowl halftime show even won an Emmy for "Outstanding Variety Special (Live)," the first time a Super Bowl halftime show has won an Emmy.

4. Beyonce (2013)

While I am a bit biased due to the fact that Beyonce is one of my favorite artists, this Super Bowl halftime show was jaw-dropping. The queen put on a phenomenal production. Beyonce was "set on fire" at one point before slipping into a cloud of smoke. There were even clones of Beyonce; the effects were amazing.

Aside from how fantastic the production itself was, Beyonce's performance was insane. The other members of Destiny's Child surprised the audience as well. Together they performed "Bootylicious,” “Single Ladies,” and “Independent Women.” The 2013 Super Bowl halftime show will forever be remembered as one of the best.

3. Michael Jackson (1993)

The king of pop himself, Michael Jackson, blessed the world with a wonderful Super Bowl halftime performance in 1993. The Super Bowl halftime show used to be circus shows, marching bands, or kids performing; nothing like how it is now. However, Michael Jackson changed that. Michael was the first true star that performed during the Super Bowl.

Jackson performed a mashup medley of his top songs “Jam,” “Billie Jean,” “Black or White,” “We Are the World” and “Heal the World.” Of course Michael incorporated his famous moonwalking during "Billie Jean." If the King of Pop didn't perform during the 1993 Super Bowl, who knows what the halftime shows would look like now? Michael Jackson changed everything.

2. Madonna, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green (2012)

Picture this: Goddess Madonna enters the stage being carried on a throne by at least 30 soldiers dressed like Gods. Iconic. The setup was brilliant. The dancing, the choir, it was all so beautiful. Madonna performed “Open Your Heart" and it was superb.

Then the superstar joined LMFAO and Cee Lo Green to perform "Party Rock Anthem." The title of the song speaks for itself. The Super Bowl is supposed to be one of the most fun events of the year, so you're supposed to party! That's exactly what these artists did; they put on a performance that made you smile and want to dance.

1. Prince (2007)

Prince put on a Super Bowl halftime show in the middle of the wildest storm in Miami. It was downpouring that day and he still killed it. Aside from his own songs, Prince performed “All Along the Watchtower,” "Let's Go Crazy," “We Will Rock You,” and “Best of You.”

People say Prince won the Super Bowl that day because of his performance of Purple Rain and his "Love Symbol" guitar solo. Prince's performance is ranked as No. 1 almost everywhere because of how amazing it was. There has never been another halftime show even close to how insane this one was. Let's see if Rihanna can put on an unbelievable show in Arizona and make the top 5 list next year!
