Man City: Problems Pep?
Pep Guardiola appeared to rule Man City out of the title race after the disappointing defeat against their city rivals but we don’t believe him. There are still 60 points to play for, and the difference between them and leaders Arsenal is not that big, just eight points. Let’s not forget that the two teams are yet to play each other and if City will pick up six points from the two games with Arsenal the title race will get be on fire.
This is the first time since October 2021 with City failing to score more than one goal in three consecutive Premier League fixtures but it’s important to note that the Citizens are amazing on home soil with 22 points earned in nine games in front of their fans and 31 goals scored in the process.
The Premier League top scorer with 21 goals to his name, Erling Haaland failed to find the back of the net in his last three appearances for the Citizens (his worst run across all competitions since a five-game run with Dortmund) between March and April 2022 and he will be eager to return to scoring ways. The reigning champs have only failed to win two of their home games across all competitions this term and seven of their last nine victories at this venue have been by two or more goals.
Tottenham: Three Consecutive Wins Against City?
Those seeking to defend Antonio Conte and Spurs will point to the improved second-half performance against Arsenal but they still lost 2-0. When you’re only playing in the second half of games you don’t deserve to end the season in the top four and play in the Champions League.
Tottenham could become the first-ever opponent to hand Guardiola three straight head-to-head defeats after beating City on both occasions last term. Conte failed to meet the expectations of the fans they are sitting fifth in the standings and five points behind the Red Devils. Is he under pressure? He should because he's also complaining a lot during his press conferences. Instead of absorbing all the problems, he’s exposing them after every single game, and the Spurs’ board will probably act soon.

We expect a great response from Pep Guardiola’s wounded troops who should have enough to beat Tottenham, but where’s the betting value? The hosts are in danger of falling as low as fourth by the end of next weekend if they drop more points. They will definitely not repeat the same mistakes and they will try to score as many goals as possible.
City dropped four points in their previous two EPL game at Etihad. We’re not saying there’s no way they will not drop points again because this is the Premier League but we definitely expect an answer from the Citizens. City will enter this clash all guns blazing and knowing that Tottenham is recently struggling to play football in the first halves, the Citizens should be in front at halftime.
