Man United vs. Leeds Prediction

Man United: Almost perfect at home

Can the Red Devils continue their home dominance despite a lack of depth in their midfield? They won their last 13 competitive home outings, including six in the Premier League but they will be without one of their most important players, Casemiro. He got red-carded against Crystal Palace and he’s a very important piece of the puzzle.

The Red Devils have lost three of their four Premier League fixtures in which Casemiro has played no part. He will join Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay in the stands so Marcel Sabitzer, on loan from Bayern Munich, is likely to make his start debut alongside Bruno Fernandes and Fred in the middle of the park.

The hosts are currently one of the contenders to secure a top-four finish, and if they can take advantage of the points dropped by the two toppers, they could even make a title charge. On top of that, Man City has been hit with more than 100 charges of alleged breaches of financial rules, which could lead to a points-deduction or even expulsion from the Premier League so we might have a surprise two-horse title race, Arsenal and Man United.

Erik ten Hag has been doing a great job since taking over the club's helm. The team shines again, they look like that team from Ferguson's time and what makes the fans happy the most is their attacking approach and the fact that they are fighting for trophies once again.

Leeds: Manager-less

Leeds has picked up just five points from a possible 30 on the road this season and has parted ways with manager Jesse Marsch. The side is clearly at a difficult point in their domestic campaign. After rescuing them from getting relegated last season, he finally got sacked after failing to win a match in over three months and having averaged less than one goal scored per match during his reign.

Leeds travels to face the Red Devils under interim manager Chris Armas, who was an assistant for Man United for five months last season. Leeds is sitting 17th in the standings, equal on points with 18th-placed Everton and three points above bottom-placed Southampton. Yep, the Premier League title race and relegation fight will go down to the wire.

Man United vs. Leeds Picks

The two teams will also face other on Sunday for the reverse fixture. Erik ten Hag’s troops conceded just six goals from their past 15 fixtures at home, while Leeds failed to find the back of the net in two of their past three road trips. Marcus Rashford is on fire and has scored 11 goals since returning from the World Cup and we expect him to extend his brilliant run of form.

A bet on a home win looks smart for a parlay piece but for better value, we expect United to solve the three points from halftime. Bruno Fernandes broke the deadlock in United's last game at home to Crystal Palace. He’s taking the penalties and scoring a lot lately so we’re backing him to find the back of the net on Wednesday.
