Well, baseball has been good for us but with potentially the final game of the NHL season underway tonight, there is no way I am not writing about it.
Florida took a commanding 3-0 lead in the series before Edmonton slaughtered them in Game 4, no other way to put it. Tonight, the Cats are back in South Florida with an opportunity to hoist Lord Stanley on home ice for the first time in franchise history and I expect them to go for the knockout tonight.

The Florida Panthers have won 15 of the 16 game necessary to secure the first Stanley Cup title in their franchises history and they have dominated on their way there with a 15-4-2 record in the playoffs thus far. They have walked all over three phenomenal teams and net minders and are one win away from closing out this series with the Edmonton Oilers in five games.
After scoring just one goal in the first seven periods of the series, the Oilers scored 11 in the last five. They scored a shorty early in the first period and the Cats never recovered, Edmonton had them by a step or two the rest of the game, no doubt.
They pulled Sergei Bobrovsky after goal five (I honestly wish they would have pulled him earlier) but that does not phase me, that was a smart move. Bob needs to flush that, I'd say maybe one of those goals was on him, the rest was a combination of the guys in front of him looking slow for the first time all postseason and the Oilers pushing the gas pedal through the floor board.
It's called a gentleman's sweep, they are somewhat common. Florida still has the Oilers in a chokehold here and back on home ice tonight I expect a much stronger effort. They are the deeper, more talented team with more experience. They got waxed in the last finals and were all banged up last year, this healthy squad will not blow this and will want to get it done and close it out tonight before things get interesting.
