Well the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs did not disappoint - yes there is a team or two I wish moved on that didn't but outside of that, this is shaping up to be a really strong second round. Tonight, I want to dive into the first game of this rematch from last years postseason as the Boston Bruins take on the Florida Panthers in what should be a really spirited series.
Florida upset Boston in the first round of the playoffs last season and made it look easy but the Bruins showed they want blood after sweeping the Cats 4-0 in the regular season this year. To kick this series off, we head to the Amerant Bank Arena is South Florida for Game 1 of this second round series.

Boston Bruins vs. Florida Panthers Game 1 Prediction
Matthew Tkachuk and Florida have been off for a week after taking down an incredibly talented Tampa Bay squad in five games. On the other hand, Boston is coming off of an incredibly tight series with Toronto that took seven games to finish and three straight 2-1 contests down the stretch before taking Game 7 in overtime.
You can definitely count the rest factor into the equation - Boston went seven and is just 48ish hours out of an overtime finale to end the series while Florida has been at home resting up.
There is no question that teams know how to preform in the playoffs and Boston will likely have their legs early but I question if they can skate with a well rested Cats team all game. With that said, I also just think Florida is better, it's that simple. Boston wants revenge but I think the Cats have the advantage in all three aspects of the game here.
