Despite his early struggles, Shesterkin has been dialed in lately. Since getting pulled for the second time in Pittsburgh, the likely Vezina winner has a .934 Save Percentage. In the second round, New York has an expected goals-against of 11.56, which shows how much Igor has meant to this team, as was the story throughout the entire regular season. This has been the story of the regular season as well. Despite the injury to Freddy Andersen, the Canes have not missed a beat in goal. Antii Raanta has filled in admirably as he has a 1.86 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage in the playoffs. Carolina was the best defensive team in the regular season in terms of goals against, as they allowed just 2.44 goals per game, with the Rangers being a close second at 2.49. These teams are also two of the top-seven teams in terms of shot-blocking in the playoffs. The Rangers are third, with 124 and the Canes are seventh, with 114. Power plays have had a hard time getting going in this series as there has only been one Power Play goal and that came in Game 3 by the Rangers. I don't see this series opening up as both goalies are hot and both teams can button down defensively, Carolina more than the Rangers. If six goals are scored then so be it, but I am riding the Under 5 at a nice plus money price.
