Their struggles have continued into the second round as Tampa Bay has outscored them 11-3 in this series. The Panthers are now averaging 2.55 goals per game in the playoffs. Florida finally got a Power Play goal in Game 3, which was their first of the playoffs. The Panthers Power Play is now 1-28 in the postseason.
The Lighting just want it more, as evidenced by their shot-blocking. The Bolts have blocked a total of 59 shots in this series, as opposed to only 35 by the Panthers. I look for Florida to be trailing in the third, which will lead to Brunette pulling his goalie early and giving the Bolts empty net opportunities.
