We have been riding with my boys for the last two weeks now and man it has been a glorious run; it would almost be disrespectful to not ride with them here tonight, they have earned it and are playing some truly excellent hockey.

St. Louis Blues vs Boston Bruins Prediction

I wrote an article on March 28 about the St. Louis Blues talking about how terrible the month of March went for them; up to that point, they had completely derailed the progress and efforts they had made to that point and now needed another strong push to get positioning back. \

I know my boys well to be honest we timed the run perfectly; starting that evening against Vancouver, they are 7-1 across their last ten games and have scored 40 goals in the process. They have stormed back into second place in the division and are tied with Minnesota at 94 points. They look great and this is exactly what needed to happen for them; this team looks like the squad that won a Stanley Cup two seasons ago and the leadership on the team has really rallied the troops.

Tonight they get to go to Boston and face the team that they beat for the Cup; this is an amazing opportunity to play in what will undoubtedly feel like a playoff environment and go beat a damn good hockey team who wants to kill them. It has not been that long, the bad blood and true rivalry of that series are still very much alive.

Head coaches Craig Berube and David Cassidy were both there in 2019 and return a good portion of their squads including a strong majority of their key, veteran leadership. If I know these squads like I believe I do I find it hard to believe they do not play this one like it’s just another game of that series.

Obviously, it is not but I expect the same intensity as not only are both squads making playoff pushes where points matter every night but now the element of the rivalry has changed. Boston wants vengeance and in their first meeting after the finals they got it with a 3-0 Victory in Boston; plenty of the guys are still there on both sides though and I can assure you the Blues want to get them back tonight (not to say the Bruins are not fighting for another).

Captains, Assistants, and other key pieces return on both sides; the guys that set the tone. St. Louis still has eleven on the roster with nine who will be on the ice the evening; Ville Husso will start over Binngton and Tyler Bozak is expected to remain out for at least another game before his return. Boston has nine themselves but only seven will be taking the ice for them tonight with Grzelcyk and Pasternak both out.

Lindholm will also be out of the lineup this evening and between those three that is enough to make me believe that Boston still might look a bit uncomfortable out there. The Notes are on fire, they have been doing great things for us lately and the value lies with them with these lines. Let’s see if the boys from the Lou can bring us home again one more time tonight.
