Winnipeg Jets vs Montreal Canadiens Best Bet: Expect Goals to Flow in Montreal

Well there is only one puck dropping this evening so I feel like I am obligated to have action on this one; luckily, I would be on this one even if it was a 12 game slate. I have written about both of these squads numerous times this season and especially as of late so I do not think a narrative or a lot of data is needed here on this one, I know what I want.

Winnipeg Jets vs Montreal Canadiens Prediction

Montreal is dead this season but Winnipeg still has a fighting chance, the problem is they have not really been fighting. They need points but are just 1-6 across their last seven contests; to be fair they have had some tough matchups but that does not matter when you need the wins.

The Habs are playing much better and started playing the upset or spoiler role in the league for a run here but down the stretch, as I've said theirs is a reason they are there where they are. They simply do not lack the talent to be elite in this league right now but are giving it their all and I love them for it as they are cranking totals as of late.

Winnipeg is on a back-to-back so I do not care who is between the pipes; Samuel Montembault is in for the Habs. These teams are both phenomenal in regard to early scoring and just pace in general so as long as neither net minder decides to have a career night this evening I think we hit this total fairly easily.
