Now, a good portion of the time when we are looking to attack overs, we are backing teams with potent offenses that have a lot of firepower. They tend to just take over the game and enough quality looks on net light the lamp for us. Other times, we are fading a netminder or a club that just cannot keep the puck out of the back of their net.
Tonight, we are fading two of them.

The Arizona Coyotes are sporting a 3.54 GAA away from their own barn this season and are completely out of playoff conversation. They are 1-4 across their last five contests and just dropped their last outing, 5-0, to an Anaheim Ducks club that had not won a hockey game in a month.
I do like the Desert Dogs a lot and they have some potential to be a solid squad in the future, but they just are not there right now. Luckily for them, despite having more senior leadership and still possessing some franchise-type pieces in Kane, Toes and DeBrincant this season is long gone for them as well.
Post All-Star break splits for both clubs:
- ARZ: 3.22 GF/G; 3.39 GAA.
- CHI: 3.17 GF/F; 3.78 GAA.
The thing about Chicago is that 3.78 GAA is much worse if you really understand what you are looking at here. They were that bad WITH Marc-Andre Fleury in net, that’s a 3.78 including his starts. If you look at the five games post All-Star break started by other netminders, and the six games since he has left, Delia and Lankinen are getting mauled.
Through those eleven starts, the Blackhawks are sporting a 4.64 GAA. These squads met back in January and the Desert Dogs won a 6-4 slugfest. Expect these two squads to light the lamp in this toilet bowl tonight as well.
