Chicago Blackhawks vs. Buffalo Sabres Prediction

Buffalo is sporting a 3.58 GAA on the road this season with a 3.52 post-All-Star break and is sending out backup netminder Dustin Tokarski tonight who is not good. I am telling you he is not good; he has played a few good games lately but do not let them deceive you. He is the backup on a low-caliber NHL team for a reason, he is good to give up some goals.

Chicago is sporting a 3.61 GAA since the All-Star break but through most of that stretch, they had Marc-Andre Fleury between the pipes for the majority of the time. He is the reason they have half their points this season easily and was really the only person really keeping them in games this season. Both teams are currently on over runs and they are cashing them the good way; both squads are scoring and I expect that to happen tonight.

Chicago has been playing well and I can always see Kane & Co. winning on home ice but I like Buffalo to fight and make this one interesting for sure so that is why I am running with the total here tonight; I see a 4-3 game one way or the other regardless of who takes it and that is hopefully a worst-case scenario here as I think we could see them string some together early and bust it open in the second.
