Minnesota Wild vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights Best Bet: Look for These Squads to Light the Lamp in St. Paul

Well guys it feels good to be back. I was traveling a bit last week and out of schedule, so I got away from what I normally like to do on the daily here but I am ready to get back to it again, and even though there are only four games for us on this slate there are a couple of great spots to get after it and that is exactly what I intend to do.

So let’s get after it.

Minnesota Wild vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights Prediction

In this first matchup that we are diving into today we are looking at what should be a barnburner in St. Paul as the Vegas Golden Knights clash with the Minnesota Wild. Now if you are unaware Minnesota Wild home games going over are one of the closest things to a bet that has truly hit consistently all season long. The over is 20-6-1 in St. Paul this season and the first period over is a wonderful 21-6 this year; 8-2 L10.

Their games tend to go over as is but they really turn things up on home ice and are killing it at home this season netting an average of 4.11 GF/G up to this point. Scoring four or more usually wins you a lot of hockey games but that means a lot less when you are giving up just as many. Since the All-Star break Minnesota is sporting a 3.95 GAA and are a miserable 66.1% on the penalty kill; that is second worse in the league only to the Detroit Red Wings and are just one of four under 70%.

To make a real run at the cup next month they needed to upgrade from their current situation and as the deadline sneaks up on shortly it seems they agreed. This morning they made a move for Chicago Blackhawks netminder and should be future Hall of Famer Marc-Andre Fleury. The situation just changed drastically on the back end for them there and I 100% believe he will cause some regression on those wonderful over stats I brought up earlier, but I do not think it will be too significant and it will not affect us tonight. Cam Talbot is in net.

Vegas has been on a really rough run and wins have been pretty hard to come by for them. They have been struggling on the back end and the play between the pipes has been poor. They are sporting a 3.17 post All-Star break but they tend to hit the overs in runs and are on one currently, so they are in good form for us. They are 4-0-1 across their last five clearing a few of those by a good margin.

The Golden Knights are a solid squad and have all the tools you need to do something come the playoffs and I believe they will; that is if they figure this out before the postseason and I believe they will. Who knows if that is tonight, I am not sure it will be as they are playing a very motivated team this evening but it has to happen soon and after putting up ten in their last two contests on the Kings and Panthers I believe they do their part here tonight.

As always, best of luck to all who tail!
