St. Louis Blues vs Buffalo Sabres: Will the Blues Come Out With a Win?

For our second look today, we are tapping in on two different games across the league. To get us started we head to St. Louis as the Blues look to defend their home ice against the Buffalo Sabres. I have said it before, but I will say it again; I am from St. Louis and I am a Blues fan but that does not cloud my judgement. I have very specific rules regarding betting on my own teams:

1)  Never fade them (not saying always back them but fading them is just simply bad juju)

2)  That’s it

If you do not force action on them when you shouldn’t, you are fine. A handicapper should know his own teams better than any other in my opinion and look at the past articles: they are cash cows for us so far. Tonight is another great spot to back the notes.

The Blues are beginning to strut as they enter the back half of the season well in the playoff picture; Ville Husso is assumed to officially be the #1 netminder now and it looks like Vladimir Tarasenko will at the very least be finishing this ride with his club.

Their offensive talent is phenomenal and very potent when on home ice; they have scored the 4th most goals of any team in the league in their own barn and are averaging 3.81 GF/G. They are allowing only 2.48 GPG at home this season and netminder Ville Husso is sporting even better numbers; he leads the league with a 1.97 GAA average.

Buffalo is dealing with a different situation; they have no playoff aspirations and are coming off a shutout loss to the Habs. Second-string netminder Dustin Tokarski will be between the pipes for the Sabres; he is sporting a 3.34 GAA average on the season. Buffalo is conceding the 5th most goals in the league on the road with a terrible 3.65 GF/G. They are also averaging the 5th least of any team while on the road this season netting just 2.38 GPG.

This second one will not take too much analysis and I want to get this article out for y’all so I will be concise here: just trust the secondary parlay leg. Columbus has won four straight barn burners and has made a lot of noise. Last night they beat the Florida Panthers in their own house and now they are looking to knock off Carolina in theirs, it will not happen and if it does it is a slugfest. The Carolina Hurricanes are the best team in the NHL and they will not overlook a red hot CBJ team; look for them to get after backup netminder JF Berube on his fourth consecutive start as Carolina looks to get vengeance for the 6-0 loss they suffered last time CBJ came to Raleigh. This one should get fun and easily cover the alt line.

We are backing the Blues on the team total but the money line is juiced so we are using an alternative line on another excellent spot to generate some phenomenal value on the parlay. As always, best of luck to those who tail! We ride.
