This is not necessarily the typical game I would dive into when attacking an over, but I truly believe it is a hidden gem. There is great value in the number a total is set at, that is why people buy the hook for a push from 6.5 to 6 or 6 to cash at 5.5. Anytime we are given o5.5 at a line with value like this I love it. There are a lot of ways to get to six goals.
Every total for them this season has been set low at our favorite number of 5.5 and they have blown them out of the water; 6-3 Kings in Anaheim, 4-3 & 5-3 Ducks in the Staples Center. The total is set the same here tonight.

Now neither squad is necessarily what we would consider an overs machine by any means, however situationally the spot is ideal. Other than slamming the over in all three matchups so far, they are crosstown rivals and did it in each other’s barns. This game has playoff implications as well and I can assure you the Kings are wanting to even up this season series tonight.Â
Even better, they have been cranking the totals as of late regardless of who they have played or who was in net. Anaheim is a clean 5-0 on the over this month with the Kings cashing in four of their last five. I also love how the team totals are both set so low due to the low total. At o2.5 at least one, if not both teams must cash theirs if we are to hit the over; they have been.
 The Ducks are not the most dangerous offensive team in the league by any means, but they have cashed 18/26 of their home team totals this year for over a 42% ROI. The kings have cashed theirs in four of their last five road games and as I said, the motivation will be their tonight. I love the way Anaheim plays but they are piss poor defensively and the goalie situation is not ideal so I do believe the Kings will continue that uptrend offensively.Â
