With that said, let's dive into this one tonight between the Minnesota Wild and the Toronto Maple Leafs. I am not going to build the narrative too much here as I have spoken about both squads multiple times recently. Why? They are good teams, they do good things and they score goals.

Minnesota Wild vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction

Minnesota has been excellent in the 2022 campaign. However, they dropped their last one out late so they should be hungry for their points tonight against a vulnerable Maple Leafs squad. They are sporting a 3.30 GF/G average on the road this season and won the previous matchup by a final tally of 4-3. 

Toronto is on a three-game skid and have dropped some bad losses to inferior talent; they do not want to go pointless through four games and they are going to really have to show out tonight if they want to beat Minnesota. Despite their poor play, they are still an insanely talented squad and I expect them to try to get after this one tonight. They are netting 3.5 GF/G in their own barn this season.

I love pace and early scoring, as you all know, but this one goes deeper than just the first period; the goals should flow in each period. Both squads are 7-3 L10 GIFT; Toronto and Minnesota rank among the top seven teams for 1P o1.5s however, it does not stop there. Toronto is 8-2 L10 2P 01.5 and an even better 9-1 L10 3P o1.5. Minnesota compliments them with 7-3 L10 2P 01.5 and 8-2 L10 3P o1.5.
