Opening the main card, we have "Chidi Chidi Bang Bang" Chidi Njokuani trading heavy leather with Albert "Machete" Duraev. Younger brother to UFC vet Anthony Nkjowani, Chidi aims to preserve the family name with his own tenure inside of the biggest mixed martial arts organization, already picking up two performance of the night worthy dubs but falling short his last time out against Gregory Rodrigues in an expected fight of the year affair. Duraev has not been so lucky but has secured the bag nevertheless, picking up a glorious victory over Roman Kopylov to kickstart his UFC career but ended up subsequently getting dog-walked by Joaquin Buckley mid-last year. 

While Chidi has the length advantage by a wide margin, it should not matter to Albert should he be successful in implementing his game plan, given that it lies within the realm of pressure grappling and cage/fence wrestling. Obviously, the reverse goes for Chidi in his path to victory being on the feet, giving the sense that, basically, he is expected to dominate the striking landscape as well as simultaneously looking not to get taken down at all costs. So when the cows finally come home to roost, who takes this fairly binary affair? While there is always value in the pure grappler versus the pure striker in a strictly objective sense, I am going to go with Chidi to get back into the win column and resume the superstardom track he was well on his way to ascertaining. 

The fact of the matter is that Njokuani was only able to get dominated on the floor following a multitude of punishments going against Rodrigues on the feet, not because he is woefully inept down on the floor or anything. Duraev has surprisingly rudimentary takedown entries for being a powerhouse Russian, so I fully expect Chidi to intercept Albert with a bony knee up the middle and put him out entirely within the opening minutes of the first round. Duraev is no pushover, but Chidi Chidi Bang Bang is, in my opinion, the legitimate truth at 185 pounds.
