The Hawkeyes have not been this big of an underdog all season.

This will be their toughest task of the year as they take on an unbeaten South Carolina squad.

Iowa lost a season ago in the National Championship and will have their eyes on their first championship in program history tonight.

The Hawkeyes rolled past Holy Cross in round one and followed that up with a ten-point win over West Virginia.

The big test was against LSU, who beat them in the championship a season ago. Iowa used a hot shooting third quarter to knock off the Tigers 94-87.

Iowa did not play their best but found a way to beat UConn on Friday night.

Superstar Caitlin Clark leads Iowa with 31.7 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, and 9.0 assists.

Hannah Stuelke has averaged 14.3 points and 6.7 rebounds. She was the star against UConn on Friday.

Senior Kate Martin has added 13.0 points and 6.8 rebounds.

The Gamecocks closest game came against Indiana in the Sweet 16, winning 79-75.

The Gamecocks have won all but one tournament game by double digits.

Ohio native Bree Hall has added 9.3 points and 3.0 rebounds.

Freshman Milaysia Fulwiley has averaged 11.8 points and 2.9 rebounds.

Iowa vs. South Carolina Pick

I understand the whole world will be riding Iowa, but this is too many points.

South Carolina certainly has a size advantage, but the Iowa offense can hang in this game.

We will see a big bounce-back game from Clark, who struggled in the Final Four.
