UConn vs. Arkansas Prop Picks

Ricky Council Under 15.5 Points (-110) (Bet $100 to collect $191) Get the best odds, available at DraftKings

Taking an under is always risky and something I don't love doing. However, today is different.

Council is one of the top scorers in college basketball and an expected draft pick in this year's NBA Draft. He's been the leading scorer for Arkansas throughout most of the season, averaging 16.1 points per game.

His first few games of the tournament have been ridiculous, but the shot volume, especially at the line, has been high. Council took 11 free throws against Kansas and 12 against Illinois.

If the referees are going to be blowing their whistles left and right, UConn won't win this game and Council will cover this number. On the other side of that, I expect UConn to be physical and the referees will allow it. A Northeast defense against an SEC school? Give me the Hurley defense to get stops.

Adama Sanogo Over 8.5 Rebounds (-105) (Bet $100 to collect $196) Get the best odds, available at DraftKings

Sanogo needs to have the game of his career for UConn tonight and I think he has it in him to do just that. I'm already on his points tonight but his rebounds might even be a better play.

While Sanogo averages 7.5 rebounds on the season, he's hit this number in three of his last five games. In one of those two games that he didn't hit this number in, he had eight.

Arkansas is an average rebounding team, carrying a 52% rebounding rate this season.

UConn Team Total Under 71.5 Points (-125) (Bet $100 to collect $180) Get the best odds, available at DraftKings

My final prop of the day is going to be a game prop. UConn is favored in this game and I understand why. However, I see this being a defensive game.

I love Arkansas +4.5, which I gave out yesterday. I think Arkansas wins the game but in March, I will always take the points. If Arkansas wants to win this game, they must get stops at a high level.

The game plan needs to be getting stops and I expect Arkansas to realize that. If they don't, they will hit a flight back to Arkansas tonight.

UConn vs. Arkansas Prop Picks

  • UConn Team Total Under 71.5 Points (-125)
  • Adama Sanogo Over 8.5 Rebounds (-105)
  • Ricky Council Under 15.5 Points (-110)
