Houston Astros vs. New York Mets Prediction: Can Ronel Blanco, Astros Shut Down Red-Hot Mets Early?

Found a good one on a lackluster day. Let's fade the Mets after an exciting Subway Series, as we expect some regression from them this weekend.

This one is massively juiced and you could use a juice reducer, but I’m feeling confident and will lay it here. If we move the odds on this one, then Blanco under on earned runs would be the pivot if also at 2.5. I prefer this though because I think Blanco goes six innings, so it should be one less inning to worry about.

Houston Astros vs. New York Mets Prediction

First off, Blanco has been a stud. Blanco has a 2.34 ERA with an even better 1.98 ERA on the road, with over 36 innings pitched away from home. In his last three starts, he has allowed just two runs over 20 innings. The guy is running hot, and I think he should dominate no matter who in front of him.

Both teams are .500 and someone has to win. The Mets are riding a high after the whole Grimace thing, but they should come down to reality soon. These Mets' bats have virtually no experience against Blanco which should play into our favor. I hope these Mets left all their runs in the Yankees series and have a stinker today. Let's roll!
