Best Bets Today: Friday's MLB Hit Parlay from Calling Our Shot

Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. It's Friday. The final day of the business week. We've hit seven of our last eight parlays. Typically, we stick to a two leg parlay, but since it's Friday, let's have a little fun. Three legs incoming. Let's get to it.

FRIDAY'S HIT PARLAY

LEG 1: ANTHONY VOLPE (NYY) TO RECORD A HIT

Our first leg of the hit parlay: Anthony Volpe. Volpe bounced back in a big way yesterday cashing our parlay after going hitless the day before. We have to trust our guy especially against a lefty. Today, Volpe faces a lefty Kikuchi in Toronto.

Volpe is facing Yusei Kikuchi who he’s seen before. Against Kikuchi, Volpe is a career 2-10 batting .200. Kikuchi is a pitcher who allows a bunch of hits. In his last two starts, Kikuchi has allowed eight and seven hits. Volpe has also been crushing lefties this month. In June, Volpe is hitting .303 against lefties. Batting leadoff and on the road, we have to trust Volpe to once again deliver us a hit.

LEG 2: CHRISTIAN YELICH (MIL) TO RECORD A HIT

Our second leg of the hit parlay: Christian Yelich. Yelich is once again back at home to face the Jameson Taillon and the Cubs. Yelich is batting .325 this season, and that improves to .379 at home. This is a great spot to back him. Let’s talk about his history against Jameson.

In 27 Plate Appearances against Taillon, Yelich is batting .385. He only has one walk in those appearances too (Yelich does have the tendency to draw a lot of walks). He has great splits against Taillon’s Primary Pitches. He’s had great history against him. This is a no brainer spot to back Yelich.

LEG 3: FREDDIE FREEMAN (LAD) TO RECORD A HIT

Our third leg of the hit parlay: Freddie Freeman. Freddie has a hit in four straight games and will make it five straight against Logan Webb and the Giants today.

Freeman has seen Webb several times and has had great success. Freeman is 14-31 batting a ridiculous .452 against Webb in his career. Webb is a pitch to contact pitcher so he gives up a lot of hits (his hits allowed line is 6.5 tonight). In June, Freddie is crushing righties with a .370 batting this season. We love Freddie’s matchup in this late night spot. Freddie will be the final hitter standing if the first two legs come through. Freddie will take us home!
