MLB Parlay Pick Today: Tuesday's MLB Hit Parlay from Calling Our Shot
Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. After failing yesterday, we are determined to bounce back. We've now hit five of our last six hit parlays (terrible). Today, we make that six of our last seven.
TUESDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: ALEC BOHM (PHI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Alec Bohm. After finally ending his hit streak yesterday, we’re trusting Bohm once more to prove he still has it. Bohm and the Phillies start a home series with the Blue Jays. Prior to a hitless game yesterday, Bohm had a hit in 18 straight.
His season batting average is still a ridiculous .349. Bohm faces off against the righty Jose Berrios today. Bohm is hitting .326 vs righties and is still seeing the ball well. Bohm was able to put the ball in play but couldn’t find a hit. We trust him to get back on track for us today. If he doesn’t get it done today, we will give him some time to readjust, but I’ll be in pain if I didn’t run it back with Bohm and instead I watch him get a hit first plate appearance.
LEG 2: ELLY DE LA CRUZ (CIN) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Elly De La Cruz. Today is Elly's debut in the parlay of the day...don't make me regret it. The Reds offense has been lackluster (to be nice) recently, but today, I could see that changing against Zac Gallen, who has struggled on the Road.
Gallen is allowing a .313 BA on the Road this season. He's also struggled against Lefties, allowing a .273 BA to Lefties (Elly will bat lefty against him). Additionally, Elly is hitting .271 this season. He's batting .280 against RHP AND he's hitting .339 at home.
On top of all of that, Gallen's top two pitches: 4-Seam Fastball (42%) and Knuckle Curve (24%). Elly is batting .333 against the 4-Seam and .333 against the Knuckle Curve. He's 99th percentile in sprint speed. Elly is getting a hit today.
