This is the easiest bet on the board to make. Justin Verlander against Yankees has a long history of paying us and I’m hoping tonight is no different. We already mistakenly faded JV once this year, but now we will humbly back him and hope to earn that money back.

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees Prediction

Verlander has hit this prop in 19 straight starts against the Yankees. I am not making this up. Every start since 2011 he goes at least six innings against the Yankees. These current Yankee bats are 22-135 against him which is just a .163 batting average.

Houston is starting a stretch of games where they will not have an off day until the 23rd which is 16 days away. I would imagine to keep the bullpen in one piece that Verlander will have a long leash today. I’m hoping he absolutely shoves but it is encouraging that in his last start against the Yankees he allowed six runs and still went six innings. I’m backing my childhood idol here and hoping for 18 outs out of the old man. Let's roll!
