MLB PARLAY PICK TODAY: MONDAY'S MLB HIT PARLAY FROM CALLING OUR SHOT
Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. I hope you all had a great weekend. Last week, we completed the parlay sweep week...we cashed all five of the hit parlays we gave out. Today, we go for a sixth straight. Lock in. Let's keep cashing!
MONDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: ALEC BOHM (PHI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Alec Bohm. It should be no surprise that Bohm is here once again. He carried us on his back last week, and continues to get the job done.
Alec Bohm is one of the best hitters in baseball right now and has been automatic for our hit parlays. We have to continue to ride the hot hand. Bohm has a hit in 18 straight. His season batting average is a ridiculous .360. Bohm faces off against the righty Mason Black today. Bohm is hitting .341 against righties and is still putting the ball in play where the defense isn’t. Bohm bats in the four spot behind Harper and will see plenty of pitches to hit.
We would be foolish to go away from Bohm when he's been this hot.
LEG 2: SHOHEI OHTANI (LAD) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Shohei Ohtani. Just like Bohm, Ohtani was a staple in last week's hit parlays. Why? Well because he's good. Do you need more analysis than that?
Ohtani is now batting .364 on the season. He's currently on a five game hit streak, batting over .500 during that timespan. What I like most about Ohtani (over his star teammates, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman) is that he comes up to the plate swinging. He's aggressive. He doesn't want to walk. It also helps that everything off his bat is 100+ MPH which makes it tough on a defense to react.
Munoz, who pitches for the Marlins is respectable, but he's faced some weak competition to start his year. Good luck today! You're going to need it. Also, the Marlins' bullpen is terrible too. Plenty of chances for Ohtani to deliver.
