Brooks Koepka 2024 PGA Championship Odds, Betting Preview, and Predictions

Brooks Koepka's dominance at the PGA Championship will be put to the test at Valhalla Golf Club this week, as the defending champion looks to add his fourth major title at this event.

Koepka is also coming off of his fourth win at LIV Golf, winning LIV Singapore this past weekend. A lackluster showing at The Masters during the first major of the 2024 PGA Tour season may leave some doubting Koepka's ability to contend, but he managed to go back-to-back as the outright winner in 2018 and 2019 at the PGA Championship.

Now, he'll look to replicate this feat for a second time at Valhalla Golf Club, where he previously recorded a top-15 finish during Rory McIlroy's win in 2014.

PGA handicapper Matt MacKay is back to share the latest PGA Championship odds for Brooks Koepka ahead of Round 1 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

BROOKS KOEPKA PGA CHAMPIONSHIP ODDS: WINNER +1600 (Bet $100 to collect $1700)

Only three other golfers have shorter odds than Brooks Koepka in the outright winner market this week at Valhalla. Two of them are red-hot, while Xander Schauffele at 14-1 is predicated on his consistent ability to wind up in contention on Sundays, despite falling short so far in 2024.

Koepka is 16-1 to win his fourth PGA Championship title and it's pretty good value considering what we've seen from him as recently as LIV Singapore this past weekend. 9-over-par at The Masters may scare some bettors off of Koepka at this price, but Valhalla is a much different course than Augusta National.

The downside to betting on Koepka is that when he's unable to finish as the outright winner or runner-up, as he's done in four of his past six PGA Championship outings, he's slid to T29 and T55 finishes.

BROOKS KOEPKA PGA CHAMPIONSHIP ODDS: TOP 5 FINISH +350 (Bet $100 to collect $450)

A top-five finish for Koepka is available to wager at +350 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. This is still good value to acquire if you don't want to bet on him to win outright, as we did see a T2 finish at the 2021 PGA Championship hosted at The Ocean Course in Kiawah, South Carolina.

Koepka's big-frame helps him stripe the ball off-the-tee, which is a prerequisite for success at Valhalla. His putting and short game around the green tend to be pretty solid, although inconsistency can flare up at times.

Confidence is a massive piece toward succeeding at Valhalla though, so at +350 odds, we're investing in a player coming off of an outright win and entering a major event he's won three times in the past six years. Only Jon Rahm has shorter odds to wind up with a top-five finish than Koepka at +330, along with Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Schauffele.

BROOKS KOEPKA PGA CHAMPIONSHIP ODDS: TOP 10 FINISH +175 (Bet $100 to collect $275)

Weirdly enough, we haven't seen Koepka record a top-ten finish that isn't an outright win or top-five finish at the PGA Championship. Thus, laying a bet on a top-ten finish at +175 odds means we'd be missing out on the +350 odds available for another top-five finish instead.

A top-15 finish at Valhalla Golf Club came in 2014, while we've seen Koepka slide out of the top-25 when he doesn't wind up with a top-five finish. It's also a bit strange that his top-ten odds are this long at +175. Maybe this is the year where we see the Florida native wind up with his first finish between T10 and T5, although there isn't much value based on Koepka's history at this major, as well as how he fared at Valhalla a decade ago.
