It turns out that while bettors are leaning toward Houston to win another ring, even more are backing a certain team to win the NL Pennant.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently the favorite at +170 to win the National League and are the most-backed team to do so with 20% of bets behind them.
Even more overwhelming is the money behind LA. The Dodgers own a massive 55% of the handle, according to DraftKings. The closest team to them in terms of money, the New York Mets, has just 18% of the handle.
It makes sense for the Dodgers to be a popular pick. They are the overwhelming favorite to win the league with a 37% implied probability. The team with the second shortest odds, the Atlanta Braves (+700), have been given just a 12.5% chance to win the league by oddsmakers.
22% of bets have come in on the Braves to win the NL, but they own just 3% of the handle.
