Boom Fantasy Daily Fantasy Sports

Boom Fantasy is a unique Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) operator that offers a fun and exciting way to play DFS games, providing a pick ‘em DFS experience perfect for novice players.

Boom Fantasy was founded in 2017 and is based in New York City. The operator has quickly gained a reputation for offering high-quality DFS games with unique gameplay compared to the established competitors, DraftKings and FanDuel, and generous bonuses. The platform is exclusively available on iOS and Android devices, making it ideal for players looking to play DFS games on the go.

In this guide, we’ll look at Boom Fantasy and provide all the information you need to start. We’ll walk you through the sign up process, explain how the platform works, and give tips to help you win big.

Boom Fantasy App

If you’re looking to enter DFS contests on the go, you’re in luck: Boom Fantasy is exclusively available on iOS and Android devices. Players seem impressed with the app, rating it 4.6/5 on the iOS App Store from nearly 4,500 reviews and 4.2/5 on the Google Play Store from 365 reviews.

Players have praised the app’s slick design, ease of use, and the overall simplicity of the platform. Not all players agreed, and some said while they were impressed with the function and the performance, basic features like a search tool for wagers had yet to be added.

Others raised issues with the functionality of the cashier section, noting that there were bugs on the page, meaning sometimes, you would have to refresh and reload the page to withdraw funds. While we didn’t experience this while using the app, we did find a few bugs in its function, and we hope this is improved in future updates.

How Does Boom Daily Fantasy Sports Work?

Boom Fantasy offers a DFS experience that might be suited to novice players called pick ‘em DFS. Rather than setting a line-up like contests at traditional DFS operators, like FanDuel and DraftKings, Boom Daily Fantasy Sports requires you to answer a series of questions about two players.

For instance, you might be asked whether Justin Fields or Derek Carr will throw for more passing yards in an NFL game week, whether LeBron James or DeAaron Fox will collect more rebounds during a Kings-Lakers matchup in the NBA, or whether Connor McDavid will score more than 2.5 goals in an NHL match. If you’re struggling to pick, the site provides information on the players and their recent statistics.

The site offers three types of DFS gameplay: Long Shots, Toss-Ups, and Favorites. Each type is a pick ‘em contest, and each selection increases the multiplier of your stake. Each game type has different multipliers, with Favorites games having the smallest (3x) for five picks. You’ll get up to 20x for Toss-up games and up to 40x for Long Shot games.

For example, in a Toss-up contest, if you make two correct selections, you can earn 3x your stake; if you make four correct selections, you’ll earn 6x your stake; you’ll earn 10x your stake for four correct picks; finally, you can win up to 20x your stake for five correct picks. Games are available featuring several popular major league sports, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and NASCAR.

In addition, Boom Fantasy offers a progressive jackpot option, with players winning a share of a prize pool if they can successfully make eight predictions. This game costs $2 to enter and can potentially be quite lucrative. You can even enter a live coin-toss prediction game in selected states if you want something even more straightforward.

Overall, the offering at Boom DFS is good compared to other pick ‘em DFS sites like Betr but could do with some more available leagues and sports for contests, like MLS and collegiate sports where available.

In Which States Is Boom Fantasy Legal?

DFS is a popular online game of skill in the US, allowing players to enter fantasy sports contests and potentially win prizes by picking players or answering a preset number of questions over a single game day or a week of action.

While the legality of online sports betting varies from state to state, DFS is legal in 46 states and jurisdictions in some form. Only Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington have expressly prohibited DFS.

Not all states have specifically legalized DFS products - in some states, operators can offer services to players thanks to a carve-out in the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA).

Boom Fantasy is available in 26 states and jurisdictions, including Alaska, Arkansas, California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The difference between DFS and regular online sports betting lies in the fact that in DFS, players make predictions on athletes’s performance in games and compete against other players based on their stats in actual games. This is different from traditional sports betting, where players bet on the outcome of a single game or event. The legality of DFS is often determined by whether it is considered a game of skill or chance.

Boom Fantasy Banking

Boom Fantasy offers a solid range of payment and withdrawal methods that will provide familiar options for most players, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal. However, there are some limitations to the available methods, and some conditions surrounding withdrawals may not be ideal for all players. Read on for a detailed breakdown of Boom Fantasy's banking options.

Boom Fantasy Deposit Methods

While its selection is smaller than some competitors, like DraftKings, Boom Daily Fantasy Sports accepts a solid range of payment methods, enough to satisfy most players. The minimum deposit is $10, and the maximum is $2,500, a standard minimum deposit for most DFS operators.

If you want to add funds to your account via bank cards, Visa, Discover, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted. Boom Fantasy accepts deposits via PayPal if you use e-wallets for most transactions.

Overall, We’d like to see other methods added, including a greater range of e-wallets. Neteller, Skrill, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are all missing from Boom DFS’ available banking options, which are popular with US DFS players. Also, we’d like to see Instant Bank Transfers added. However, we were satisfied with the minimum deposit, as it matched many of its competitors.

Boom Fantasy Withdrawal

Boom Fantasy’s withdrawal methods are the same as its deposit methods, except you can’t withdraw funds to credit cards. You can only withdraw funds from your account to debit cards or PayPal. Like with its deposit methods, we’d like to see a few more added, including Instant Bank Transfers and more e-wallets.

Another factor to consider when using Boom Fantasy is that you must play through your deposited funds before withdrawing. For example, if you deposit $10, you must enter contests up to $10 to withdraw any winnings. Our review team prefers players to have complete flexibility over their funds, so we’d like to remove this requirement in the future, although it is a feature of some of its competitors.

Finally, Boom Daily Fantasy Sports claims it can take 5-7 business days for your funds to be processed. We think this is relatively slow compared to some other DFS sites, especially for transactions using e-wallets. In our experience, the withdrawal time wasn’t as long as this but was longer than some of its competitors. If you value speedy withdrawals, you might want to look elsewhere.

Boom Fantasy Customer Support

One of the more disappointing elements of this DFS operator is its customer support. While competitors have a wide range of contact options, Boom Fantasy only offers support via email or X (formerly Twitter).

While our review team was impressed with the speed and know-how of the representatives over email, we were less than impressed with the customer support provided over social media. While some queries had been answered, we found many players who had contacted the operator but had yet to get a response.

Also, while we found a “How to Play” and FAQ page on its desktop landing page, we were disappointed that these pages didn’t contain more information, especially as the site was one of only three options available for troubleshooting issues. We’d like to see live chat and phone support added to give players more flexibility when seeking help.
