Best NBA Prop Picks: Lock In This Expert's Best NBA Prop Bets for Thursday
We've got two major NBA Playoff matchups on the horizon tonight. The Celtics will face off against the Cavaliers in the earlier matchup, and the Thunder will look to take care of business against the Mavericks in the later matchup.
I've added a few player props that you'll want to consider for tonight's NBA slate.
May 9 Best NBA Player Props
Darius Garland Over 15.5 Points (-118) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Darius Garland only finished with 14 points against the Celtics in Game 1 of the series. However, he played 36 minutes and attempted 15 shots without getting to the foul line.
The 15 shots were the third-most attempts he's taken in the playoffs so far. He also shot just 40% from the field after attempting eight three-pointers.
But that volume has me excited about what's to come for Garland. His eight three-point attempts were the most he's taken in any game this season. He just shot 25% from deep, which was his worst shooting performance of the playoffs from downtown.
Look for Garland to regroup, reset, and have a much better shooting performance in Game 2.
Max Strus Under 9.5 Points (-110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
In the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Max Strus shot 31.6% from downtown and scored 9.1 points per game. He struggled early in the first-round matchup against the Magic but then eventually came around.
It's looking like that trend could haunt him in the second round as well.
Strus only hit one three-pointer against the Celtics despite taking five threes and playing 35 minutes.
In those 35 minutes against Boston, he added two rebounds, no assists, no steals, no blocks, and three fouls, with a turnover. If he continues to produce absolutely nothing, Strus' minutes will likely decrease at this rate.
Aaron Wiggins Over .5 Threes (-145) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Over the last two games, Aaron Wiggins has attempted nine three-pointers. That includes his 3-for-4 night from downtown against the Mavericks in Game 1 of this series. As a result, Wiggins played a personal playoffs-high of 23 minutes in that game.
Wiggins attempted only one three in the first three games of the playoffs, but he's trending in the right direction at this point. If he takes even three threes tonight, he'll knock at least one down.
Let's give Wiggins a chance to make a three. He nailed his first three off the bench pretty quickly on Tuesday!
