Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Game 1 Prediction
Hart went over 15.5 points in five of six games in the Philadelphia 76ers series but a lot of that was due to the way he was defended, which will be much different in the Pacers series.
The 76ers were ok with living with Hart taking a ton of thress as he averaged 2.7 threes on 6.2 3-point attempts (43%) in the series. He only averaged one three on 3.1 attempts (31%) this season so we can expect to see a dip in those numbers, especially given the matchup.
The Pacers defend the perimeter extremely well and like to run players off the three-point line. Hart went 0/2, 0/3, and 1/2 from three in three matchups against Indy this season and I expect his volume to be fairly similar in Game 1.
Hart is under in three of three games against the Pacers this season going for four, five, and ten points and playing 36+ minutes in all three. His minutes will be increased this time but I still expect him to go under. I think other Knicks players have better matchups and expect a big game from Jalen Brunson which will limit Hart’s opportunities.
